Hey guys, I have a Sears 1 1/2 ton floor jack ( Model no. 328.12002)that I purchased in 1980. This unit is made up of 1/4 inch thick steel plates and all welded heavy duty unit, not like the stamped sheet metal ones today. It has become intermittant in operation. Most times when I try to pump it up, the saddle just sinks back to the bottom. Occasionally it will hold, but I don"t trust it to use safely anymore and want to rebuild it. There are no apparent fluid leaks. Do you have recommendations of places to get parts to rebuild? I would rather not use Sears parts as I find that they are usually 3-4 times higher than I can get parts for somewhere else. Any tips on rebuilding and refilling with fluid? Do I need any special tools? thanks, Mech187

Although he himself has never actually owned or restored a tractor, he was always enthusiastic and always around helping with other peoples projects.
