I just a brain storm and it's all coming to me now. The question about a MIG welder, getting the engine and the shot up Lincoln. The wife was actully helping you in a sneaky kind of way. Since the Lincoln already has the first scratch, you could weld some rails on the top of it, hoist the combine engine up on top, drive it over to the combine, and just slide the engine over and into place.
