Mike I ripped sum plywood in to stripes and nailed it the rafters every 12 inches sow I had a 2 or 3 inch lip to hang sum 4X8 foam board 2inch thick on it and just sat the Foam on it and it works grate if you have any large gaps just use sum plastic to cover that aria
