I have converted several small engines to LP. I do not buy the kits as I have a mill and a lathe so I build most of the parts I need. The only thing I do buy is the demand regulators. I had about the same experience with a Ice Storm power outage as the other posted. I have a 5000 Watt Winco/11 HP Briggs set-up from the factory for LP. I ran it for six days from a 250 gallon LP tank. This generator was saved from a salvage yard by a buddy of mine. I was using MOBILE ONE 10W-30 oil. I ran it the six day with oil checks a 12 hours, 12 hours, 24 hours, 48 Hours, and 48 hours. Why I stretched the oil check intervals was I was NOT seeing any oil usage at the 12, and 24 hour check. This was four years ago. About a month ago the weather guys were predicting either a blizzard or an ice storm hear. I fire up this generator. She ran well and it still has the same MOBILE ONE in it that was in it four years ago.

It was on his farm that I learned to use the combination hand clutch and brake on a John D
