Have heard others say rods and bearings are different in military versions. Possibly also crank and pistons or rings. I have MVG4D but it was rebuilt when it got it so need to tear into it yet. It has a 6V electric starter on it, a Fairbanks Morse radio shielded magneto and Zenith carburetor. Do know some of the parts for the radio shielded mags are expensive or hard to find but they can also be converted to a regular mag, wires and spark plugs too as I have done several of them that way. M in front of the regular numbers is a military version. M after regular numbers is a marine version.
