You can make your own clutch puller, and should be able to remove the clutch without pulling the engine. The bolt that holds the clutch on is threaded into the crankshaft. Remove it. The clutch housing has a set of bigger female threads in it. They are maybe 1/2 or 5/8 fine thread. Find a bolt to fit those threads. Bolt can be 2 inches or less in length. Then get a piece of smooth rod slightly smaller than the bolt you took out of the crankshaft. Using something for a depth gage measure and cut the rod so that it bottoms out in the crankshaft and protrudes up into the big threads slightly.
Put rod into hole, thread big bolt in and you can 'push' the clutch off of the tapered crankshaft. I have used an air impact wrench or a 16" or so breaker bar. You have to figure out a way to hold the clutch and keep it from turning during this process.
I am sure you can Google EZGO clutch removal also. The ready made puller toll is about $35. I hope my reply made sense.
