I havnt pulled it yet, cause i want to make sure I have one to replace it immediately. We only have this tractor, and NEED it all the time. The problem is im not sure if its gear drive, or tang.
Really the biggest problem is that its ALWAYS wet in the cap (i think there might be a bad seal) the bushings are loose, the advance springs are broken, etc etc.
Weve always had starting issues with this thing, and i want to convert it to 12v neg ground.
What i WANT to do, if i can is use a delco. Is there a delco number i can take to my automotive parts guy and get the WHOLE distributor?
My dad has been battling this thing for the 25 years weve owned it, and im finally at the point were i know enough to be dangerous, and i figure id best fix the damn thing before he burns the shop down (cause he wants to light the damn tractor up lol)
