Jo- we had to pull the pump out the bottom to get the three sided plate off you told us about. Pump was oK in all aspects, and spring behind the plate also OK. We pulled the spring and plunger out, and ther are two orifices in the plunger, a large one and smaller one. The smaller one had about an inch long piece of silicone driven into it and caught on both sides in the spring. Also a couple more small pieces of silicone in where we removed the parts. Everything else looks good, and definitely the silicone is foreign, and will advise when we get it back together. Have to order some O rings so will be about a week before we know for sure. If you want to contact me personally,I posted my email address, but will also post results on this forum for anyone else watching.

Although he himself has never actually owned or restored a tractor, he was always enthusiastic and always around helping with other peoples projects.
