You need to find some one with a good set of parts books. Find out what size of injectors are being used on the highest rated 4-53T (roughly 175 HP unless there are a couple special applications that have higher ratings) and then jump up two sizes. Don't worry about the supercharger other than making sure it is in good shape (seals and bearings). You will not need to make a lot of boost to make 200 horse or better. I believe that factory 4-53 ran a TO4 but you will need to find out specifically what model. It doesn't have to be a big turbo for 200 horse. The Holset may work, but I don't have any flow maps to see how it matches up.

Are you rebuilding this engine? If so, use a set of liners and pistons out of a 4-53T. It will drop the compression slightly. Don't worry about bypassing the blower. Are you planning on still working this tractor in the field? Where are you located?

Good Luck!
A.P.

Today's Featured Article - It Can't Be Done! - A Tractor Story - by Neil Campbell. I'll never forget the time back when I was a boy baling hay on our Farm in Big Rapid, Michigan. The most memorable event that took place was a trip up the steepest incline on the farm pulling an old New-Idea baler with a pony-motor for power and a haywagon. I had just talked my Dad into buying an old John Deere B with 6-speeds ahead and I was real proud of it, except it was a little smaller than the Case tractor that we normally ... [Read Article]
