What is the coil primary resistance? While Pertronix says this unit is good for a 0.6ohm coil. Unless your tractor is a 9000rpm V8 running 20psi of supercharged boost. Your tractor"s ignition requirements are not all that demanding. Use an ordinary Napa 12V , 3 to 4 ohm coil.
Says right on the Pertronix web site that using solid core wires will ruin the control modular. Use quality spiral wound suppression wires.
