I agree with the tube header issue, If the organizations are going to allow one brand to use tube headers then all should be allowed, regardless of manufacture. As Doug pointed out and rightly so, this disparity of how some brands are given a pass while others are scrutinized with a fine tooth comb and restricted is the reason NATPA and like organizations have no credibility here in the East. If Farmall would have built their engines in a similar manner as the MMs all parts and interchangability would be legal. This is just politicking and we'll drop that there.
While the speed limit is an equalizer of sorts, it just tightens up the field and in my opinion you will find the same fellas at or near the top consistently whatever the rules. The reason, some put their heart and soul into it and pull every weekend and sometimes twice a weekend. They are gonna be better, have engines with real HP and HP gives you a definate edge at the far end of the track in pace classes.

On closer examination (and some reading in a AC D-14 service manual), I found out that this is a pretty ingenious method of cleaning the air in the tractor's intake tract.
