I understand your position. You have to understand mine: Not everyone wants to explore uncharted territory with the "gasketless" design. Some people may want the simplicity of drop on a gasket and torque it down. In addition, others may be running cylinder pressures that do not require a high performance sealing system. Fortunately, Lubbock fills this need.
My experience with Lubbock is Garbage IN Garbage Out. If you send a decent imprint of a block you will get a decent gasket back. When I have had a mislocated bore, they have always made it right with me. They told me flat out: The most accurate way to have gaskets made was to tool it up on their waterjet. You can have a base gasket with bore centers programmed then have whatever size bore cut when ordered.
I guess that's one guys bad experience (dboll) countered with one guys good experience (mine).
