I pull 5500-7000 lbs 4mph top cuts allowed with a NA diesel, and was competitive last year. (Was my first year out) didn't take any 1st places, but never placed worse than 4th. It can be done, but like anything else it takes $$. The biggest difference is the fuel system. You will need as many or more cubic inches as everyone you'll be pulling against. NA diesels are tricky to get power out of so if you want HP per dollar spent, a gas is the way to go. If you want something different and still have fun, go diesel. Good luck!
