if you clean up you ports and put some bigger valves in the head, you should see a few HP. Move your intake valves over to the exhaust and put a set of 360 Dodge exhaust valves in for the intakes. Get a new set of Dodge keepers (same as factory oliver) order a new set of 460 IH valve springs and use a set of 460 IH retainers. There are two things to remembers..#1 the head you are using was designed to feed a smaller cube engine at less RPM so anything you do to help it compensate will help. #2 bigger isn't always better. I have torn down numerous heads that have came in on pullers over the years that have had a great big vlaves in them. Some were even cut over into the combustion chamber wall. When I pulled the valves out, there was a small hole under it, one head even still had the stock seat underneath the larger valves... Some mild porting will go a long way, raise the roof of the exhaust port roof a little, bore the intake runner out to 1.125, and just blend everything in well. Anther thing, did you degree the cam in after you had it reground???.... Hope this helps.
