An enamel hardener for enamel paints is made by 1-shot [sign lettering paint] . I use this hardner at 10%. I googled this topic [ because I actually don't know anything ] and on a snow plow site someone used Valspar hardener in Rustoleum. . If you want to tint the rustoleum just use more Rustoleum .[At least you know it is compatable]. These enamels will make some mess if sprayed. It is not an overspray that will clean up well. On a sidenote Rustoleum has poor UV protection It may be possible that the hardener will speed drying time and slight gloss. I have noticed that. I always wear gloves and dispose of any hardened paint carefully. For painting a trailer I use a sponge brush but after so many strokes the sponge will break off the handle so you can tape it on in advance or buy a whole bag of them [ both is what you need ]. I use 1-shot because it is made for outdoor signs although costly it is very high quality paint.
