Black Tire Paint Update. Well I finished applying the black tire paint, I will post before and after photos after I get my regular PC up and running but the bottom line is it is WELL WORTH the money. I used Miller Black Tire Paint from Miller Tire company. Just some things to note, as they say a little goes a long long way. It is super concentrated I mixed a small amount 50/50 with water stirred well and it covered all four tires on my Allis Chalmers B, with plenty of paint left over! The tires look great, nice even black, but not shiny. I Just wore thick rubber gloves and applied it with an old wash cloth and rubbed it in like I was staining wood. I gave each tire two coats and still have a lot left over. Now this stuff will not fill in or hide weather checking cracks, nor is it designed to do so. BUT it sure did make the rubber all dark and black and the tires look much mucn much newer. They already had deep tread and this was really worth the time and money spent. The product was something like $19.95 plus about $11.00 shipping so for around $30 bucks I made my tractor tires look like they are almost new. The only way you can tell they are not is the weather checking. It was easy to put on and I did the entire job (both coats) in an hour and a half.
