Doesn't nessessarily make it "dry" quicker but does make it "cure" quicker and all the way through instead of curing from the top down. Akin to adding catylist to fiberglass resin and making a boat. There is a resin in the paint that reacts with the catylist to chemically cure it all the way through. Synthetic enamel or alkyd enamel even with hardner is not an equal product to urethane with catylist. It may make it cure faster but it is still an inferior based paint to the others. It will still stain from gas and other fluids.
