Yes the remote lever is the one I am on about. It sits at the right of the seat (just above the lever for the linkage) & the axle runs underneath the front of the seat to work the hydraulic valve (that sends fluid to the remotes) under the left front of the seat. If this is not returning to the neutral position then the linkage will not operate. If it is returning to neutral, then I'd look further at the hydraulic valve & check that it too will actually adopt its rest position. Rest position will normally allow the linkage to operate.
Check if you get decent pressure out of the remotes when the valve is used, if so the relief valve should be OK.
If you are still stuck, then post again & I'll have a look to see if I can find the details of that spacer/washer that may, or may not, be fitted to the hydraulic control valve. From memory it was something to do with "power beyond" for double acting cylinders.
