Hi
I read a old thread on a message board on tractors and wanted to ask more.
I have a long 360, 70's?, well the 3 point lift works but jumps after it stops lifting, or the weigh changes like standing on it,
I read a thread to pull the big plug under the front of the seat and clean, and or ship, sure enough there was curd and gunk. and it improved.
But the piston, shimming didn't seem to help but there is a hole through the piston ( small) and seems to have a bb crimped in it.
Should this be loose or is it a plug?? I have tried to knock it loose but its uncooperative. My oil is milky and needs changing but i need to get this working again first.
BTW what is the recommended fluid for the tranny and rear hydraulics.
Locals tell me 10w motor oil. ???
Also source for parts would be nice, good old tractor and i would like to keep it going.

Although he himself has never actually owned or restored a tractor, he was always enthusiastic and always around helping with other peoples projects.
