This afternoon I was fortunate enough to purchase a complete non running NF 1650 Oliver diesel for a bargain price. Now for a couple of questions. #1 Could this non running tractor be safely towed or will I ruin the rearend"?My trailer isnt quite heavy enough to haul it so I thought about putting the front end up on the trailer and using the trailer as a dolly to tow the tractor 45 miles home at 20-25 mph.It has sound 18.4x34 rear tires. #2 Will this 1650 rear end bolt up to my 1967 model 1950 Oliver's (4-53 Detroit) engine tub?I need to lighten my 1950 down to 8,000 lbs for tractor pulling and the 1650 rear should do the trick.
