The specification numbers on the tractor numbers that you are looking are: 37 is the early narrow front 770, Later were 47 and that number was changed to 247 when the plant went to computers. The last three digits in the serial number "736": first digit is the model family, 7 is 77, Super 77 & 770. Last "36" is the power train code. John is correct, it is the higher speed, however the tractor ride guys will tell you it's not very fast just a little over 12 MPH.
