Well I known it has been done. However remember that the bolt pattern is different. All the 7 main bearing engines use only 14 head bolts.. Also the valves in the 7 main bearing gas engines are the same size but coolant passages are different so some will need to be blocked. Also cam shafts will need to be changed as the valve arrangement is different. a 320 or 195 Waukesha head has larger valves than the 88 series engines.
