I recently had one done for a '71 Chevy C90 with a Detroit 6-71 in it. The fan came apart and went through the radiator. It was a complete recore and it cost me about $1000. I didn't set the radiator on a scale, but the whole thing must weigh over 250 lbs. I had to drive about an hour and a half to get to this guy because he's the closest one to me. All the others have closed shop or refuse to do true radiator work. He's a true craftsman though, because he's got people sending him radiators from all over the U.S., including California. This guy has made some hand-built brass radiators for some pre-Model T cars that are museum quality.
