Thats a good question since we don't have production records from South Bend plant. I have a Sales Note dated May 1960 that introduces the 5540 plow and states that it will be available in June. I also have a Sales Note dated July 23, 1963 introducing the 565 plow that replaced the 5540. Unless the production overlaped, and I doubt if it did in how popoular the 565 plow was. The above dates are probably close. Since the above dates are prior to the Whidte Motor purchase of MM I doubt that it was built for the Prairie Gold guys. I have a corrolation chart for the Oliver to MM models and the 5540 is not shown on the chart.
Remember that the Teleflow hydraulic system in the MM G1000 The draft sensivity is in the upper link if memory serves me correctly. You will need an adapter if you want draft reaction.
