I just went through this on my 570. If you take a R.H. cam engine and make it a L.H. cam engine the crank and cam stay in place and turn the same way. It is the block that you are spinning 180 degrees. The oil pump drive gears are cut opposite on the camshaft. I found this out the hard way when I assembled my engine. I went to install the tach drive gear and it wouldnt go into the cam gear. I had to pull the cam out of my old engine and install it in the new one. I was able to use the timing gear but it was not marked for use in a L.H. cam engine. I had to count teeth and make my own mark. I also had to use the oil pump driven gear out of the old engine. Hope this clears it up for you.
