I used to farm with an Oliver 1950T, about the same HP and it pulled a 7 shank Glencoe soil saver and a IH 690 18' disc with no problems. Was told by an an old mechanic/farmer that the best way to tell if what yo're pulling is too much is to advance the throttle. If it just pours out more black smoke, but the rpm's and speed don't go up, you have too much behind you.
