There are those more informed on here than I, but down to basics. The 1550-1655 frame is not as wide as the 1750-1955. From the transmission forward, the front tub frame is different on an 1850 diesel which is set up for the Perkins. The otheres are set up for the Waukasha, except for the 1950 which had the Detroit. To my knowledge, this 1850D tub would not bolt up to a 1650-55 main transmission. Can the current 1655 tub be modified enough for the 354 and get everything to line up? Maybe, don't know.
