I was reading through my manual about the procedure and I would agree with your assesment. I assune you have a manual. Do you have a parts book? I find this very helpfull also and have it on my computer as well as a printed copy. If you need one I can probably help you down lode one. Looks like a big job from what I can tell and difficult to explain as outlined in manual. Even difficult to understand from reading it. I have not acually done this job and for me things are much easier to understand when I'm actually looking at it and in the process. Whats wrong with it that it needs to be replaced and do you already have a replacement part because that could be a problem also. Good luck anyway and keep us posted.
