I saw the comment on the bottom of the Ebay listing that said there was only 9 built. I think i know of almost that many myself! You can look up 1865 pics on google and see that many! I would hate to think someones false information made a difference in the market value of these tractors. If you look at the bid history of that Ebay auction you can see that the bids went from 11-12K to $17,000 in one bid at the last second! Sounds like a sniper came in at the last minute hedging that the other guys bid wasnt that high, seems like 5000 is quite a jump! That and the last bidder wasnt even one that had bid before.
Dont get me wrong, if whomever got that tractor is on here, congrats! You got a heck of a tractor! but hopefully the false info at the bottom of the listing didnt sway your bids... iirc there was around 60 made or so. For two years.
