I have an Oliver 1800 tractor with a Gemmar steering unit. The steering is very inconsistent between power steering (easy) & manually (hard to turn) steering. I"ve had the Gemmar unit removed, disassembled, inspected & rebuilt (looked good). The Flow Divider has 3 washers in it now and overall looked good. (Although during first removal, there was some pieces of small, o-ring like pieces caught in the spring & spool as well as up by the Gemmar unit. Not sure where these came from). The 3 pt hitch & the Loader/grapple work very well. I put a pressure gauge on the Flow Divider unit. Again, whenever the psi > 1000, the steering worked good. However, the pressure was inconsistent (low & high) and it corresponed with the ease of steering. Just wondering what else to look for. The Serial number starts with 111. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated!!
