The only con I can think of is that tractor has the single speed pto and most likely is set up for 540 r.p.m. which for most people is what they need and not a problem. We had a 1550 when we dairy farmed and wish I still had it, I know where it is but the guy said he does not want sell. I've also offered to buy my neighbors 1555 but he won't sell his either. If the engine is tired I would rebuild the one it has.
