All the tips below are great but... For 3 hours work and a $10 part you can fix the head gasket. Doing all the tests below, assuming you understand and do them correctly, will take that long. Once your done if the problem is solve then YEAH! If not you know you have a crack. I have a simialar problem with my 8N and as soon as the weather gets warm (in Maine that means may) I'll do the head gasket and keep my fingers crossed. Good luck! Please vlet me know how it works out!
