Moving on now. I've now got a working oil gauge on my 8N and also replaced the broken one on the new 2N and got it working. It shows 25#s. I've yet to use this 2N. Needs a muffler first. So now I would like to add inline thermostats and inline temperature gauges. Doesn't look like there is a whole lots of working room with the hood on. Guess the hoods have to be removed to do the job? I'm also thinking the temperature gauge should be closest to the engine. Will that cause much of a delay in the thermostat being farther away from the engine? I know every body here recommends having an inline thermostat, I haven't gone out an looked at that many Ns but I've looked at some. So far I've never seen any of them with one installed. Do most of you also find that to be the case.
