if we get soybeans in now they'l be up about 4/6 inches. tender little things. we also plant rape, turnips, spinach, sweet peas, cool weather stuff that will grow into the early part of winter or the first hard frost anyway. along the woods edge their protected from the frost somewhat. turnips if planted early they'l eat the greens off them now and dig the turnip up in winter. and yes that is my buddies stand in the background about 65 yrds off the plot. we hunt about 600 acres of farm that's surrounded on 3 sides buy 1200 acres of state land, all pine forest.
