Terry.........you do know that a clogged vent dome at the front of yer gastank will prevent yer gravity fed gas from flowing to yer carb. Gitta modern NAA vented gas cap. ($15, cheap) Simple, eh?
Remember, yer weird 4-nipple front mount dizzy is designed to be removed and have the points (0.015") installed on the kitchen table. Just un-snapple yer capple and remove the 2-bolts and walk. Installation is a reversal of the removal ...except... finger start the 2-bolts and install yer new rotor. Now rotate yer rotor until the OFFSET drive tang fits into the OFFSET camshaft slot. Now tighten yer 2-bolts. Re-snapple yer capple and re-screw yer squarecan ignition wire.
BTW, surprizingly enuff, unlike points, resistors and condensers never wear out. But yer weaksister ignition switch is the cause of many "no-start" complaints. New switch $5; cheap.
Remember to "polish" the INVISIBLE corrosion from between the points after installation. Me? I clamp a clean $1-bill between points and pull. Iff'n yer really cheap, tear a strip from HEAVY brown paper grocery sack and use that. .........Dell, yer self-appointed sparkie-meister
