I have both an 8N and a 660. I like them both. But they are totally different. The 660's hydraulics are much superior. It also has more HP, but not that much. Also, my 660 has power steering - now that is a major difference.
My 8N has a couple of advantages, 1st is that it starts better. Second is it size. With a belly mower, it just a big Cub Cadet. I like that. It also uses less gas per hour.
All this said, both are capable tractors. I use them both equally. If I had to pick between them, the 660 wins, mostly because of the power steering.
