Well,...........the best "conversion kit" is to swap tractors! Starting with a front mount & trying to change it to a side mount, you run into many things. Different cam shaft, cam gear cover, generator needs to be moved to left side (oops, the oil fill tube is too far forward to clear generator) (oops, there are no cast bosses in left side of block to mount generator) (oops, the oil filter is too far forward, too, but not to fret, a new cylinder head with filter bolt holes further to rear is available & new oil lines, too) (oops, no timing port or marks on flywheel, that are needed to time a side mount) & I probably forgot something. Of course, an innovator can overcome all this with enough time & money. :wink:
I did forgot to mention that there are no holes in the head to mount the coil. What else??
