I think on the other board you said they were like the weights below. I wonder why Ed Gooding didn't give me credit for that photo. I always give him credit when I use his. Oh well... These are 3 piece and weigh 75 lbs X 3 = 225 lbs per wheel. I have had these weights on 4 or 5 different tractors now. I'll sell you my tractor but Not the weights. They will fit any 28" Ford style rim/center combo. Generally you can expect to pay about 50¢ a pound for weights. So $250 is right in the zone. I prefer cast iron to fluid ballast for a couple of reasons. One is it is easier to transfer them from one tractor to another, two, you can always sell thyem if you choose to. Also, if you get a flat you wont see your cast iron running out onto the ground. DO NOT buy this style weights unless you get the 12 special mounting wedges that go with them. A little more info if I haven't bored you already: When you install them you want to tighten them up good all around. Then tighten them again. Then use your tractor for a few days and tighten them again. If you hear them creaking they have loosened so listen for that. Last thing, I have seen rims rotted out from mud, etc getting caught between these weights and the rim. A couple of times a year I blow out any crud in there with a pressure washer. I really like these weights. From the outside you can hardly tell you have them on. I would not sell mine for $300.

Today's Featured Article - Madison's County - by Anthony West. Philip Madison has been a good friend of mine for quite some time. He has patiently suffered my incessant chit chat on the subject of tractors for longer than I care to remember, and on many occasions he has put himself out, dropped what ever it was he was doing, to come and lend a hand cranking handles, or loading a find onto a trailer. Although he himself has never actually owned or restored a tractor, he was always enthusiastic and always around helping with other peoples projects.
