My guess , its time to do a medical examination of all internal working parts . After all these years of active service it probably needs a couple new parts & special TLC . I'm not as old as it is , but my joints have caused me lots of moaning for years . Get yourself a good repair manual & study before tearing into it . Also find a strong friend to assist with the lifting . If you are anything like me , I hate waiting & letting it get any worse & then leave me tractor-less . Zane made a repair kit for the 8n lifts .
