for a temp 3 wire hookup and low amps.. a piece of 10-2 will make a welder run off a dryer plug ;)
I bought my welder a week before I had a welder plug put in my shop.
I neede dit to repair my 15' batwing mower.. the wing FELL OFF!
I parked it in the driveway near the garage door, and rub-goldberg'ed a 15$ roll of 10-2 to the dryer outlet and my welder using a lil hardware to make sure the wires didn't unplug / safety. etc. was welding for 15 minutes. just had to put a stop plate on to hold a hinge pin in, and re-weld the forward wing hinge.
worked fine.. :)
wife did wonder why there was a cable runing from behind the dryer out the door into the garage and out the garage door :)
