Ford novice here. I'm painting my 1974 F250 and gooseneck trailer. I'd like to use a nice gray for all three (common color if possible so I can use cheap stuff on the trailer). I like the 9N color I see on restored tractors (and after all, it's going on a Ford). There's many schools of thought on this, but I've looked at Battleship Gray and Machinery Gray (sometimes called dark Machinery Gray). Battleship seems to look fairly light, then dark in another picture. Machinery kinda has that dark shade that looks good on 9N. What is right? What is acyually used on a 9N? I have Twin City tractors that used surplus miltary battleship paint on early and darker TC Gray on later models. Thanks in advance.
