Rattle can from ACE/hardware store. After All the passages are cleaned, I put two light coats of 'Wrought Iron', Flat black paint on the outside. Holds up nice, and is resistant to oil, gas, and rust.
I also let the carb set overnight, under a light bulb on the desk, to 'set' the paint.
NO complaints yet, after about 5 yrs of doing it this way, with not ONE return on any overhauls.
AND.....NO.....Sandblasting will not stop any carb overhaul, from working properly, if the overhaul is done right and the passages are cleaned completely out.
Sandblasting is a NO-NO?????? ..........That is an 'OLD-WIVES' type tale.
