Got one 3 or 4 years ago and have been doing my own tire changes ever since. I also got the bubble balancer and have been impressed. I use stick-on weights from Oreilly's (big box of em was $30, still have plenty).
It takes some muscle and lots of lubricant, but it's pretty easy. Don't use it on high-dollar show car wheels, but your daily drivers and trailers (and wallet) will benefit. I even use it on 8 ply truck tires. 10 ply might be too much. The bubble balancer does a fantastic job, even on the 17" wheels on my wife's Tahoe. Haven't had any complaints yet.
The biggest problem I had was finding a place to mount it. I ended up putting drop-in anchors in the floor that accept bolts so I can remove it when not in use. I just screw short bolts into the holes when I remove it to keep junk out of them.
