considering that even the basic off the shelf icq4 coil can make WAY more KV than a .025 spark gap can use.. it seems like getting much over that is a bit of a financial waste?
if a ic14, can make 2x to 3x the kv needed.. and since plug gap control spark potential. any coil capable of makingthe kv required to overcome the spark gap at a given pressure should perform the same.
now.. add that to a high revving multi cyl machine, and put a coil on each plug and you drastically reduce the recharge time issues.
that and super wide plug gaps. that's where aa high performance coil would shine.. especially COP systems.
