Actually I am the one that missed something. Looking at the parts manual it says NAA and newer but I see no reason it couldn't be mounted on an 8N with a little tweaking. There may well be an issue with the length between the mounting points requiring new bolt holes at the rear drawbar attachment point but other than that the subframe is utterly generic. Obviously the OEM hydraulic control valves/manifolds are not going to fit an 8N but it would run fine off the test port just as I described. In fact that is exactly the way the Sauder plows and loaders work. I have an older 6-1/2 foot Myers plow that I intend to mount on my '51 8N using a subframe built just like the 19-80. It will be powered with an external pump and control valve.

On closer examination (and some reading in a AC D-14 service manual), I found out that this is a pretty ingenious method of cleaning the air in the tractor's intake tract.
