As per the pictures and explanation from JMOR I drained the oil and checked out the intake control valve. It was not moving at all. I got up my nerve and really forced it and it popped into the pump. I think this is what Zane was saying yesterday and I wasn't clear about where to move it. I exercised the valve a bunch of times and it seems fine now. It probably should be replaced before it sticks again. I can't find the "intake control valve" listed as a separate part anywhere. Does anybody know if it has another name? Thanks to one and all. I have a 3/4 mile driveway the goes 500 feet up and I really need the box scraper to keep it up in the winter weather.
