Hi,
will be spending some quality time this weekend with the jube. Testing compression, sparkies, etc as its a hard starter and struggles a bit with the brush hog.
It has some surging at low rpms in response to load changes, and at WOT it reaches about 2000 rpm and then settles to 1300-1400 after 15-20 sec. I 'spect the governor needs adjusting, as well as the (wrong) carb needs a little tweaking and maybe a clean/rebuild. I read the manual and it seems pretty straightforward.
I have looked online for a new governor spring, but I only see replacement kits for a flyweight governor. I don;t know for sure which kind my machine has, but I don't see a replacement spring listed anywhere even tho that seems to be the first thing to replace if you have surging.
The other little gizmo I canna find is the dumb little clip that holds the throttle rod to the bellcrank. Mines busted and the rod hops out now and then.

Although he himself has never actually owned or restored a tractor, he was always enthusiastic and always around helping with other peoples projects.
