Ahhh! That next to last example explains my solonoid! To get it to work I had to hook Bat+ to the push button on the dash, then the other side of the push button to the left side small post on the solonoid. The other small post was not used. I had assumed it would be like my old Mustang and use both small posts. I want to get a new original style starter switch, so I guess a new solonoid will be in order too. Since the original style starter switch only switches to ground, I guess I'll need a 3-poster like the 2nd one you mentioned or a 4-poster, with positive to one small post and the other small post to the starter switch.
