Turf Tire Extravaganza

I made the switch to turf tires and boy was it expensive. $1,350.00 including new 11x28 rims, 2 new multi-rib tires up front, Titan Turf-Trac R-3's in back; all with tubes. Now I did get turn- key service at my place and had the calcium chloride removed from the old bar treads, but still... My dad only paid $800 for the tractor in 1952. First thing I did was rent a Woods core aerator and turf renovator for the yard. The tractor left no marks, for once. In reading the archives, lots of folks made mention of improper toe-in causing the front tires to slice the turf when turning. Turns out the toe-in (1 1/4" negative) was hurting the situation so I adjusted it to be neutral. Now for the finish mower.
