I could not resist. First off, there are a lot of better off people that would rather buy something new and pretty with a warranty and parts readily available than an older oversized tractor. (I can't believe I just said oversized for an 8N) As an owner of various older tractors and newer ones, do a little farming, and work in town to make ends meet, I can see (and hear) both sides. I just bought an LX277 JD lawn mower for 3 bills, and I love it. Goes in places I could never get the 8N to go, and it is smooth as silk and turns on a dime. My guess is, in 10 years, my JD lawn mower will still be worth 3 bills, and my 8N will be about the same. There are all kinds of people with all kinds of ideas. I guess thats why we have so many internet forums! Thanks,
